TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Keio Plaza Hotel (KPH), one of Japan’s most prestigious international hotels located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will host a special event entitled “Happy Easter Fair” from April 1st to 30th. It is common for Japan to adopt and adapt various cultural and religious events from around the world to match the lifestyles of its people. Amongst the more widely celebrated events are Christmas, Valentine's Day, Halloween, and most recently “Easter”. Now that egg decorating and other “Easter” events have become popular, restaurants of our hotel will serve special menus in the theme of Easter to celebrate the arrival of spring. Also, exhibitions including decorated emu and ostrich eggs, three dimensional shadow box artwork and other art items representative of spring and Easter will be displayed in our restaurants and other places for guests to enjoy. The exhibition will also provide special spots where guests can take pictures together with key points of our “Happy Easter Fair” to take with them as fond memories of their visit to our hotel.

The “Super Buffet” Glass Court restaurant will provide foods specially arranged for guests to commemorate the arrival of spring. “San Daniele prosciutto ham” served with half boiled eggs and consommé jelly, “glace eggs served with tartar sauce”, “Glass Court style mimosa salad” and other special menu items using eggs will be prepared.

Our French and Italian restaurant “Duo Fourchettes” located on the second floor will serve traditional food items used in Italy at Easter time in specially prepared menus. The menu includes roast pork with lasagna using eggs and a dessert made from wheat and ricotta cheese called “pastella” from the Napoli region of Italy.
