More than 100 Companies from 12 Countries to Exhibit at CES Asia

Top companies including Audi, DTS, Ford, Garmin, Gibson, Hisense, Intel, Mercedes-Benz, Monster, Scosche and Voxx to showcase latest innovations at Asia’s premier tech event

TOKYO--()--The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) ® today announced that more than 100 companies representing 12 countries are slated to exhibit at the inaugural International CES AsiaTM, including more than 10 global brands. CES Asia will run May 25-27 in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) and will draw global businesses to showcase the latest products and technologies entering the Asian marketplace.

“We are thrilled with the positive, global response from companies planning to exhibit at CES Asia, reinforcing the show as a major gateway to the vitally important and influential Asian marketplace,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. “The entire ecosystem of the consumer technology market will be represented at CES Asia, from the automotive industry to the Internet of Things and beyond. These companies will have the opportunity to showcase their latest innovations before technology leaders, buyers, media and key decision-makers in the Asian tech market.”

The CES Asia show floor will span 20,000 gross square meters (8,500 net square meters) of exhibit space showcasing top technology themes including the Internet of Things, innovation and connectivity. More than 100 companies are currently slated to exhibit, drawing from major economies including China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Korea, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan and the United States.

Additionally, CES Asia will feature three Marketplaces representing some of the most innovative and fastest growing product categories in consumer technology: 3D printing, robotics and wearables, along with 14 product categories spanning other top influential trends from smart home to automotive to sports and fitness.

Nearly 6,000 consumer technology professionals from 80 countries have registered for CES Asia since the launch of registration last month, of which 43 percent are senior-level executives. Registration includes domestic and international buyers, resellers, distributors, manufacturers, engineers, product designers, CTOs, CIOs, CXOs, investment managers and others involved in purchasing decisions. Initial numbers confirm CES Asia as an international gathering place for tech industry influencers as more than half of registrants are from outside of China, with 37 percent from Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East, and 20 percent from parts of Asia other than mainland China.
