Japan IT Week Autumn is the sister edition of Japan IT Week Spring http://www.japan-it.jp/en/, known as Japan’s largest show for IT and the world’s largest for software and apps. In its fifth year running, Japan IT Week Autumn has grown to be one of the largest comprehensive B-to-B IT shows in Japan held in the second half of the year. This year the show is expected to gather a larger number of exhibitors and professional visitors from the industry.

Overall, the show is composed of 7 independent exhibitions: 5th Cloud Computing Expo Japan (CLOUD JAPAN Autumn), 4th Web & Mobile Marketing Expo (Web-Mo Autumn), 3rd Data Center Expo (DATA CENTER Autumn), 4th Information Security Expo (IST Autumn), 4th Smartphone & Mobile Expo (SMARTPHONE Autumn), 3rd Big Data Management Expo (BIG DATA Autumn) (former: Big Data & Data Management Expo) and 2nd Direct Commerce Solutions Expo (DIREX Autumn).
Across the 7 exhibitions, the latest technologies and solutions from Japan, Asia and the world will be showcased including major exhibitors such as NTT COMMUNICATIONS, SONY, PANASONIC, SOFTBANK, KDDI, CISCO SYSTEMS, BOX, FIREEYE, F5 NETWORKS JAPAN, JAPAN POST, SAGAWA EXPRESS, YAMATO GLOBAL EXPRESS etc.
430* exhibitors will be exhibiting which is a 150% increase from the previous edition. To conduct business with such exhibitors, 32,000 professional visitors are forecasted to participate, which will be a 30% increase from last year. (*expected)

The possible factor influencing the growth of the show may be the fact that Japan IT Week Autumn has become strongly established as the sister edition of Japan IT Week Spring since the launch 5 years ago. Japan IT Week Spring is undoubtedly the largest and best platform for industry professionals to meet and source for new business in Japan but as budget for Japanese firms generally start in Autumn, the timing to seal deals can be favourable in Autumn. Thus leading to a higher level of satisfaction among the show participants resulting in the growth of the Autumn edition.

Besides the trend in the overall size of the show, as the awareness for internet security has risen and as the direct commerce business in Japan is expanding, 4th Information Security Expo (IST Autumn) and 2nd Direct Commerce Solutions Expo (DIREX Autumn) will be exhibitions especially to look out for this year.
At Information Security Expo, new countermeasures for hacking, DoS Attacks, Virus, Information Leakage, Internal Intrusion, Fraud, Falsification, Eavesdropping etc. will be showcased, as well as IT Asset Management Products and Services, Integration, Consulting, Audit Services, mobile security etc. for firms to invest in.
Direct Commerce Solutions Expo will be the best place to find various services and solutions for e-commerce and e-mail order business. The top 3 postal/courier companies of Japan - JAPAN POST, YAMATO GLOBAL EXPRESS and SAGAWA EXPRESS; who rarely participate in logistic related exhibitions together, will be exhibiting various support services, latest control systems, sample delivery services etc.

Also, new pavilions will be launched this year. Australia and Poland will be exhibiting as national pavilions for the first time gathering the latest technologies and solutions unique to their country – for instance, new cloud technologies and smart phone applications
