Nielsen Announces 11-1/8% Senior Discount Note Consent Solicitation Expires Without Requisite Consents

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Nielsen Company B.V. (“Nielsen”) announced today that its consent solicitation in connection with its 11-1/8% Senior Discount Notes due 2016 (the “Notes”) expired without the receipt of valid consents with respect to a majority in aggregate principal amount of the Notes (the “Requisite Consents”). The consent solicitation, previously announced and launched on July 29, 2009, related to proposed changes to the indenture governing the Notes. The consent solicitation expired today at 5:00 p.m., London time. As a result of the expiration without the Requisite Consents, the consent fee will not be paid and the proposed changes to the indenture will not be made.
