Premier Small-Cap Growth Conference to Host More Than 400 Public Companies

China Track to Feature 48 Chinese Companies from Cleantech, Consumer & Internet, Education, Global Energy & Industrials, Healthcare and Technology

ROTH China Seminar Series to Provide Insights for Chinese Management on Strategic Implications of the Recovering Market Environment

24th Annual ROTH Conference

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ROTH Capital Partners (ROTH), www.roth.com, a full service investment bank focused on identifying growth opportunities for corporate and institutional clients, will host its 24th Annual Growth Stock Conference March 11–14, 2012, at The Ritz Carlton, located at 1 Ritz Carlton Drive, Dana Point, California.

One of the largest of its kind, ROTH’s flagship three-day investment conference brings together executives from more than 400 growth companies and 1,000 buy-side investors. The event provides institutional investors with investment ideas across a variety of sectors. Company presentations, Q&A sessions, panels and management one-on-one meetings offer institutional clients opportunities for extensive interaction with executive management to gain in-depth insights into each business and sector.

The event will feature 48 Chinese companies listed in the U.S. from a variety of sectors, including Cleantech, Consumer & Internet, Education, Industrials, Healthcare, and Technology. We expect that this will be one of the larger investor conferences for U.S.-listed Chinese companies during 2012. This year’s presenting companies have an average market cap of $330 million. ROTH will also conduct the 15th session of its ROTH China Seminar Series, with a panel of experts focused on the current market environment and strategic implications for Chinese companies including capital raising and the pros and cons of privatization.

ROTH CEO Byron Roth commented, “We remain committed to China as the sector progresses through its transition. Stock performance dramatically under performed during 2011 as investor concerns about governance and accounting heightened, resulting in broadly depressed valuations. While some companies have been delisted and others have privatized, we believe a good number of these companies have taken steps to regain investor confidence.”

“We are starting to see signs of investor interest returning to the sector after a challenging 2011. ROTH’s China Research Universe has outperformed most major indices to start 2012, gaining 26% year-to-date versus 9.8% for the Russell 2000, 12.7% for the Hang Seng, and 5.7% for the Shenzhen SME Composite,“ said Mark Tobin, Co-Director of Research at ROTH. “While the recovery has been broad-based, it has been led by strong performance among solar, TMT, and consumer stocks. Our line-up of presenting companies represents some of the fastest growing industries in China.”
